Assignment 1
1. Consider the Research Design Descriptors studied in Chapter 6 (listed in Exhibit 6-3 of the book, or slide 13 of the lecture presentation). Classify your research project for each of these 8 descriptors. For example: “when considering the data collection method, monitoring is more appropriate for my project because …”.

2. Consider Exhibit 7-2 in chapter 7 (explained also in slides 2-8), listing key distictions between qualitative and quantative research. For each of the 13 distinctions, attempt to  identify if qualitative research, or quantative research, or a combination of both research approaches is needed in your project. For example, “only a small sample size may be available hence a qualitative study is more appropriate”.

3. Consider a qualitative approach to the research design in your project.
a. For each of the data collection methods listed in slides 10 and 11 of chapter 7 (explained from page 151 in the textbook), identify which methods are suitable for your project.
b. Pre-tasking involves the deliberate preparation of participants (see slide 15). Explain why, or why not, you consider pre-tasking suitable for any of the data collection methods you identified above for your project.

4. Considering the outcome of items 1-3 above, and Exhibit 7-4 of chapter 7, revisit your research questions in the LLB and re-write them to provide clearer understanding. Explain why you have changed your questions, if you do.
